Grow fruits and flowers by my feet
I'll never work a day again
Sweet grapes and breadcrumbs that I eat
Will last me till the very end
You'll smile when you pay the rent
With endless love so heaven sent
I'll be in bed just so content
The years go by my mind ferments
And though my spine may atrophy
I hope you'll never leave me
Stepped off our property this morning felt a pinch inside my neck
Stress filled my chest up to my crown
So I went straight back to bed
Where traffic never stops your speed
And bosses never yell at me
Eyes staring softly at the screen
Keeps me from things I shouldn't see
I hope you'll never leave me
