Lee Jae-seong, born on September 8, 1957, in Seoul, South Korea, is a singer and
composer. He first gained recognition as a member of the his college band A
Guitar and a Penny when they won the silver award with the song "My Dream and
Love" at the 1981 MBC Campus Song Festival. He rose to fame in Korea with hit
songs like "Candle Festival" and "Lonely DJ," which both reached number one on
the Gayo Top 10, a TV program for music. In addition to his singing career, he
formed and mentored the Korean R&B group 4MEN in 1997 with fellow musician Hwang
