Sergey Konstantinovich Mavrin, nicknamed “Mavrick,” was born on February 28,
1963, in Kazan, Russian Federation. He is a guitarist and composer known for his
work in the Russian metal scene. His early influences included Led Zeppelin,
Nazareth, and Deep Purple. He began his musical career playing piano and
electric guitar, joining the metal band Chorny Kofe in 1985. In 1987, Mavrin
joined Aria, replacing Andrey Bolshakov. In 1997, he collaborated with Valery
