Zuchu
Zuhura Othman Soud, known professionally as Zuchu, and born on 22 November 1993
in Zanzibar, United Republic of Tanzania, is musician and songwriter. She
entered the music scene in 2015 through collaborations with her mother, Khadija
Kopa. Her debut album I am Zuchu was released in 2020. Zuchu achieved notable
milestones, becoming the most subscribed femlae artist in Sub‑Saharan Africa on
video streaming platform in 2022, the first female East African artist to reach
streams on Boomplay the same year, and earning five nominations at the 2023
Soundcity MVP Awards.
