David Darnell Brown (March 15, 1981), who goes by the name Young Buck, is an American hip-hop performer who began rapping as a teenager in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee. He had a stint with fellow rapper Juvenile in UTP Playas and then performed with 50 Cent's G-Unit group. His first solo effort, Da Underground Vol. 1 (2004), went to number 22 on Billboard's Top Rap Albums Chart and number 34 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart.
