Antoine Carraby, known professionally as Yella or DJ Yella, born December 11,
1967, in Compton, California, is an American rapper, producer, and former adult
film director. He derived his stage name from the song "Mr. Yellow" by Tom Tom
Club. Early in his career, he performed as a DJ alongside Dr. Dre in the group
World Class Wreckin' Cru. He first appeared on the track "Surgery" (1984) with
Dr. Dre and The Arabian Prince. He later joined the gangsta rap group N.W.A,
