Wizex
Wizex, a Swedish dance band, was formed in Osby in 1973. The band gained
national attention in 1977 with their performance on the TV show Nygammalt and
achieved their first hit on the Svensktoppen with "En vagabond". The following
year, they finished second in the Swedish Melodifestivalen 1978. Notable hits
include "Tusen och en natt" and "Djupa vatten". In 1979, Wizex won the
Rockbjörnen award by Aftonbladet as "Best Dance Band of the Year". Their album
Tusen och en natt sold 235,000 copies.
