Wilbur Schwichtenberg, known professionally as Will Bradley, was born on July
12, 1912, in Newton, New Jersey. He was American trombonist and bandleader
started his career as a trombonist and bandleader. In 1928, Schwichtenberg moved
to New York City and joined bands such as Red Nichols & His Five Pennies.
Bradley formed his own big band in 1939 with Ray McKinley, achieving popularity
with hits like "Beat Me Daddy, Eight to the Bar" and "Scrub Me Mama with a
