Wendy Shay
Wendy Shay (born 20 February 1996, in Accra) is a Ghanaian Afropop and Afrobeats
singer. Born Wendy Asiamah Addo, she relocated to Stuttgart following the death
of her father, later training as a midwife before returning to Ghana. Her
recording career began in January 2018 when Shay signed with RuffTown Records.
She gained recognition for her debut single, "Uber Driver" (2018). In 2019, she
won Discovery of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards and Breakthrough
Act of the Year at the 3Music Awards. Her discography featured the albums Shay
