Willie Earl Walker, known professionally as Wee Willie Walker, was born on
December 21, 1941, in Hernando, Mississippi. He began his musical career singing
with local gospel groups in Memphis, Tennessee. In 1965, Walker made his first
recordings for Goldwax Records, including a cover of "Ticket to Ride" by The
Beatles, which he released in 1967. Around 2002, he joined local R&B band The
Butanes, recording three albums and touring internationally. In 2015, Walker
