Vitorino Salomé Vieira, known as Vitorino, born on June 11, 1942, in Redondo,
Portugal, is a Portuguese singer. He comes from a musical family and began
singing in local choirs at age 11. At the age of 20, he settled in Lisbon and
met notable figures like José Afonso and Fausto. Vitorino left for Paris in 1969
with José Mário Branco to start his career as a songwriter and protest singer.
After returning to Portugal in 1973, he released his first single, "Morra Quem
