Virtue, an American gospel group formed in 1994 by Karima Trotter, Ebony
Trotter, Negelle Sumter, and Shavonne Sampson, originated from Oakwood
University in Huntsville, Alabama. The quartet released their self‑titled debut
in 1997 through Verity Records, reaching number 18 on Billboard Christian Albums
and number 6 on Billboard Top Gospel Albums. Subsequent albums included Get
Ready (1999), Virtuosity (2001), Free (2003), Testimony (2006), a re‑issue of
