Vince Lawrence, born January 6, 1964 in Chicago, Illinois, United States, is an
American record producer known for his contributions to electronic and house
music. His early involvement with music began when he joined a band called Z
Factor, releasing their first single "(I Like To Do It In) Fast Cars" in 1983.
Lawrence's breakthrough came when he co-authored "On and On", the first
recording officially designated as "house music," alongside Jesse Saunders. This
