Victor Wooten
Victor Lemonte Wooten, born September 11, 1964, in Idaho, is a legendary bass
player also known as El Maestro. He began his musical journey at age two and
joined his family band at five, touring with icons like Curtis Mayfield. As a
founding member of Béla Fleck and the Flecktones in 1990, he gained global
recognition. Wooten has released numerous solo albums, earning five Grammy
Awards. His Bass/Nature Camps, and Wooten Woods, a retreat center, offer
