Vicky Leandros
The German-Greek singer Vicky Leandros was born in Corfu on 23 August 1952. In
July 1965, she released her debut single "Messer, Gabel, Schere, Licht ", which
reached number 16 in the charts in Germany. Her debut album Songs and Folklore
was released in October 1966, before she went on to represent Luxembourg at the
1967 Eurovision Song Contest. After several hits in Europe and overseas, she
took part in the Grand Prix again in 1972 and not only reached first place with
the song "Après toi (Dann kamst du)" , but also achieved great commercial
success. More than 7.8 million copies...
