Unorthodox
Unorthodox, a doom metal band from Maryland, United States of America, was
formed in 1992. Initially known as Asylum, they changed their name to avoid
confusion with another successful band. Unorthodox signed with Germany's
Hellhound Records and released their debut album Asylum in 1992, followed by
Balance of Power in 1994. In 2008, the lineup of Dale Flood, Mark Ammen, and
Gary Isom recorded a third album, Awaken, which was released on the Church
Within Records. Unorthodox had a song, "Lifeline", featured on the Doom Capital
