Tudor Gheorghe, born Gheorghe Tudor on August 1, 1945, in Podari, Dolj County,
Romania, is a Romanian singer known for his politically charged musical career.
After studying at the I.L. Caragiale Institute of Theatre and Film Arts in
Bucharest, Gheorghe began composing music to express his interest in Romanian
poetry. His first national tour in 1969 established him as a figure in
