Troy Kingi, born on June 1, 1984, in Rotorua, New Zealand, is a musician. He
learned guitar at Te Aute College, formed Toll House at Kerikeri High School,
and won the Northland competition of Smokefreerockquest. He released his first
EP in 2013, then his debut album Guitar Party at Uncles Bach (2016). Subsequent
releases include Shake That Skinny Ass All the Way to Zygertron (2017), Holy
Colony Burning Acres (2019), which was the winner of the 2020 Taite Music Prize,
and The Ghost of Freddie Cesar (2020), which reached number 2 on the New Zealand
