Trie Utami Sari, born on January 8, 1968, in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia, is
an Indonesian singer-songwriter. She began her musical journey at a young age,
learning to play the piano and participating in singing competitions. In 1977,
she made her first TV appearance when she participated in a contest for
elementary school children on TVRI. Trie Utami Sari joined the jazz group
Krakatau in 1986, which gained significant popularity across Indonesia and
neighboring countries like Thailand, Japan, China, Malaysia, and Singapore.
