English new wave band Tonight, from Southend-on-Sea, Essex, formed in June 1977.
The group consisted of Chris Turner on lead vocals and songwriting, Phil Chambon
on rhythm guitar and backing vocals, Dave Cook on lead guitar, Russ Strothard on
bass guitar and backing vocals, and Gary Thompson on drums. Their breakthrough
came with the release of their debut single "Drummer Man" in February 1978,
