Tomás Doncker
Tomás Doncker is an American musician. He performed as a guitarist in New York’s
no‑wave scene with acts such as James Chance and the Contortions, Defunkt, and
J. Walter Negro & the Loose Jointz. In 2011, he released Power of the Trinity, a
project that earned CNN credit for creating the “Global Soul” genre. He has also
collaborated with figures such as Bootsy Collins, Yoko Ono, and
Shemekia Copeland. Doncker toured Europe and China, supported
Fun Lovin’ Criminals, and founded True Groove Records.
