Tom Smith
Thomas Michael Henry Smith was born on 29 April 1981 in Stroud, Gloucestershire,
and is an English singer, songwriter, guitarist, keyboardist and pianist. After
studying music technology at the University of Staffordshire, he joined the
indie‑rock band Editors as lead vocalist and principal songwriter. Editors
released their debut album The Back Room in 2005, followed by An End Has a Start
(2007) and In This Light and on This Evening (2009), the latter marking a shift
toward electronic influences. Editors subsequent albums The Weight of Your Love
(2013), In Dream (2015), Violence...
