Apostolos "Tolis" Voskopoulos, born on July 26, 1940, in Nicaea, Attica, was a folk singer, composer, lyricist, and actor. Voskopoulos' breakthrough came with his early albums such as Doukissa & Voskopoulos – Anamnisis (1967) and Agonia (1968). Subsequent albums include Marinella & Tolis Voskopoulos – Ego Ki' Esy (1974) with Marinella and When I Sing (1976). His theatrical hit Oi Erastes tou Oneirou, performed opposite Zoe Laskari, further solidified his status in the entertainment industry.
