Shop Boys' Music Band in 1911, is a professional symphony orchestra. The
ensemble relocated to Tokyo in 1938 and adopted its current title post-World War
II. Under Manfred Gurlitt's direction, the orchestra premiered notable operas
such as Aida and Lohengrin. The group's international debut occurred in 1973
with performances in Southeast Asia, followed by a European tour in 1984. In
