Sudarwati, known professionally as Titiek Puspa, and born on November 1, 1937,
in Tanjung, Dutch Borneo (now South Kalimantan), Indonesia, was a
singer-songwriter. She began her singing career after winning several
competitions at age 14 and moved to Jakarta in 1959 to perform professionally.
Her breakthrough came in 1954 when she won a Radio Republik Indonesia
competition. Puspa released notable albums including Romi dan Juli (1971) and
Virus Cinta (1997). She won the National Pop Song Festival with "Cinta" in 1974
