is an American singer known for her distinctive voice. She started singing at a
young age and gained local attention before being discovered by talent scout
Sonny Knight. After signing with Liberty Records in 1959, Timi Yuro's
breakthrough came with the single "Hurt" in 1961, which peaked at number 4 on
