Timex Social Club is an American R&B group formed in 1985, originally known as
the Timex Crew. The band included Marcus Thompson, Gregory "Greg B" Thomas,
Michael Marshall, Craig Samuel, and Darrien Cleage. By 1986, Samuel, Cleage, and
Thomas had departed, and Alex Hill and Kevin Moore joined, leading to the
adoption of the name Timex Social Club. The group's breakthrough came with their
hit single "Rumors", which peaked at number 8 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 pop
