Born Toufik Bouhraoua, the French rapper of Algerian descent Tif was born in
Algiers on May 23, 1996. The son of an architect and a schoolteacher, he grew up
in Bab-El-Oued, a suburb of Algiers, before leaving at the age of eighteen to
study in France, where he began pursuing a career as a rapper. Settling in Lyon,
he released his first track, “3iniya,” in 2019, when the COVID-19 pandemic cut
short his momentum. Returning in 2022 with “Emoji DZ” and “.38,” Tif made up for
