Thomas Winther Andersen, born on April 29, 1969, in Oslo, Norway, is a jazz
double bass player. He graduated from the Amsterdam Conservatory in 1993 and
later earned a master's degree at the Conservatory of Den Hague in 1994. Winther
Andersen received a grant from the Dutch foundation "Fonds Podiumkunsten" to
study under Sal Mosca in New York. He has toured extensively with notable
musicians such as Lee Konitz, Sheila Jordan, and Jasper Blom. His compositions
