The Wilson Family
The Wilson Family, an English folk music group from Billingham, County Durham,
was formed in 1974 by siblings Pat, Tom, Chris, Steve, Ken, and Mike. Their
first major release was the 1983 album Horumarye, a complete collection of
Graeme Miles compositions, followed by The Wilson Family Album in 1991. The
group performed at the 2011 BBC Proms with the Northern Sinfonia, BBC Singers,
and Kathryn Tickell, and collaborated with Sting on The Last Ship in 2013,
performing at ten benefit concerts in New York. In 2017, they received the EFDSS
