The Wannadies
The Wannadies, an alternative rock band from Skellefteå, northern Sweden, formed
in 1988. The initial lineup included Pär Wiksten on vocals and guitar, Christina
Bergmark on vocals, Micke Herrström on keyboards, Stefan Schönfeldt on guitars,
his younger brother Fredrik Schönfeldt on bass, Gunnar Karlsson on drums, and
Björn Malmquist on violin. Their first concert was in October 1988 at a festival
supporting the Nicaraguan Sandinistas, followed by recording their debut
release, Smile EP, in February 1989. The band signed with MNW Records after
performing at the Hultsfred Festival...
