As Katie White's superstar dreams as part of the band TKO crumbled into support
slots for Steps and Atomic Kitten, Jules De Martino's life as just one part of
British pop led him to a bohemian artist community in Salford. United by a
shared love of Portishead, the duo made waves on the Manchester party scene
before attracting the attention of BBC Radio 6 Music DJ Marc Riley. A stint at
