The Stargazers were formed in 1949 in England by Cliff Adams, Ronnie Milne,
Marie Benson, Fred Datchler, and Dick James, with Dick James leaving shortly
after to pursue a solo career. Their early broadcast appearances on BBC Radio
programmes, including The Goon Show, established their presence, and the group
recorded the 1954 single “I See the Moon”, which reached the UK charts. In the
