The Soul Clan was a 1960s American soul collective formed in 1966 by Solomon
Burke, Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, Don Covay, and Joe Tex, all prominent
Atlantic Records artists. The group’s concept was to unite leading soul singers
to collaborate on a single project aimed at both artistic and community
development. Their initial breakthrough came with the release of the single
"Soul Meeting" backed with "That’s How It Feels" in February 1968, which reached
