The Sallyangie, a British folk duo consisting of siblings Mike Oldfield and
Sally Oldfield, was formed in 1967. The duo began performing in local clubs when
Mike was 14 years old and Sally was 20. Their debut album Children Of The Sun
was released in 1968 under Transatlantic Records. Following the release of
Children Of The Sun, The Sallyangie embarked on a short tour before disbanding
in 1968 due to artistic differences. Notable singles released by the group
include "Two Ships" (1969) and "Child of Allah" (1972).
