The Paper Kites is an Australian indie rock and folk rock band from Melbourne, formed in 2009 by lead vocalist and guitarist Sam Bentley and keyboardist and guitarist Christina Lacy. The group gained initial traction with their single "Bloom" (2010), which was certified Platinum in the United States. Their first EP Woodland was released in 2011, followed by another EP Young North in 2012.
