The Moments

The Moments were an American sweet-soul/R&B vocal group formed in 1965 in Hackensack, New Jersey, initially featuring John Morgan and later becoming associated with the trio of Harry Ray, Al Goodman and Billy Brown. They signed to Sylvia Robinson’s Stang Records and released their debut album, Not on the Outside, But on the Inside, Strong!, in 1968; their breakthrough came with “Love on a Two-Way Street” (1970), which topped Billboard’s R&B chart for five weeks and reached number 3 on the Hot 100.
