The Manfreds, a British pop group formed in 1991, is a reunion of former members
of the 1960s pop group Manfred Mann, excluding their eponymous founder. The
original lineup included Paul Jones, Mike d'Abo, Tom McGuinness, Mike Hugg, Mike
Vickers, Rob Townsend, and Benny Gallagher. They initially reformed to celebrate
guitarist Tom McGuinness's 50th birthday and promote a Manfred Mann compilation.
Their first album, 5-4-3-2-1, was released in 1998 followed by L.I.V.E in 1999.
