The JudyBats

The Judybats, an alternative rock band from Knoxville, Tennessee, was formed in 1987 by Jeff Heiskell and Ed Winters. The band signed to Sire Records in 1990 and released their debut album Native Son the following year, featuring the hit single "Native Son", which peaked at number 9 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart. They continued with albums such as Down in the Shacks Where the Satellite Dishes Grow (1992) and Pain Makes You Beautiful (1993), the latter including their most successful single, "Being Simple", which reached number 7 on the same chart.
