The Jezabels
The Jezabels are an Australian indie rock group founded in Sydney in 2007,
formed by Hayley Mary (lead vocals) and Heather Shannon (keyboards). The duo
began as a folk duo in Byron Bay before forming the band with guitarist Sam
Lockwood and drummer Nik Kaloper. Their first releases were the EPs The Man Is
Dead (2009) andShe’s So Hard (2009), followed by Dark Storm (2010), which earned
the Independent Music Awards titles Best Independent Artist and Best Independent
