The Head and the Heart
Seattle indie folk band The Head and the Heart have enjoyed an upward trajectory
in the music world since forming in 2009. It began by selling its own albums
(packaged in handmade denim sleeves) at gigs and local record stores. Interest
in the band grew so fast that stores often found themselves out of stock. After
what was described as a frenzy of activity from recruiters eager to sign the
