The Gabe Dixon Band was a rock group formed in 1998 at the University of Miami.
Their piano-driven rock style was influenced by artists such as Billy Joel and
Elton John. The band released their debut album More Than It Would Seem
independently in 1999. After relocating to New York City, they signed with
Reprise Records and released their major label album, On a Rolling Ball, in
2002. In 2005, they released the EP Live at World Cafe. They disbanded in 2010,
after which Dixon pursued a solo career, releasing his debut album One Spark in
2011.
