The Flys were a British punk band formed in 1976 in Coventry, England, by
guitarist‑vocalist Dave Freeman, bassist Joe Hughes,
vocalist‑guitarist‑keyboardist Neil O'Connor, and drummer Pete King. After
self‑releasing the EP Bunch of Five in 1977, they signed with EMI Records,
issuing the EP Love and a Molotov Cocktail and the single "Fun City" in 1978;
the same year the LP Waikiki Beach Refugees appeared. Their next LP, Own,
