The Detroit Experiment
The Detroit Experiment is an American collaborative project, featuring
DJ/producer Aaron Levinson, saxophonist Bennie Maupin, trumpeter Marcus
Belgrave, pianist Geri Allen, and violinist Regina Carter. Their album, The
Detroit Experiment, was released in 2003. This album peaked at number 17 on the
Billboard Jazz Albums chart and number 24 on the Top Dance/Electronic Albums
chart. The album is part of a series of collaborative albums, with The
Philadelphia Experiment (2001) being the first entry and The Harlem Experiment
(2007) following as the third.
