The Aliens
The Scottish band The Aliens was formed in 2005 by former Beta Band members
Gordon Anderson (lead vocals, guitar), John Maclean (keyboards, backing vocals),
and Robin Jones (drums, backing vocals); Anderson had been friends with Maclean
since school in St Andrews. Their first release, the EP Alienoid Starmonica (20
March 2006), was followed by the single "The Happy Song" (18 September 2006),
establishing the group’s psychedelic‑rock sound. In 2007 the band issued their
