Thara Nathalie Prashad, born January 16, 1982 in New Jersey, United States, is
an American R&B singer and model. Known as Thara, she began singing at sixteen
and pursued modeling to enter the music industry, securing campaigns for Reebok
and Verizon. In 2003, she appeared in Jay Z’s "Excuse Me Miss" video and later
signed with DJ Clue’s Desert Storm label, where she worked with producers Jeremy
Skaller, Rodney Jerkins, and The Neptunes. Her self‑titled debut album was
