Theresa Beth Murphy (born January 18 1965, in Anaheim, California) is an
American rapper and singer who first emerged in the late 1980s as a member of
the dance group Bardeux, leaving after the release of their single "Three‑Time
Lover" in 1987. She was discovered by Eazy‑E and signed to his imprint Comptown
Records, leading to the release of her debut solo album The Power of a Woman in
1990 on Ruthless Records, distributed by MCA Records, which included the singles
