Despite being active in the Beijing pop scene since the early 90s, Mandopop
singer Sun Nan’s career took off in 2002 with the release of his eighth album
Heaven’s Destiny. Born on February 18, 1969, Nan grew up in a house full of
artists - his father was a singing teacher and the rest of his family were
seasoned dancers. A precocious talent, he picked up the piano and guitar at a
very early age and formed his first band shortly after. Inspired by Hong Kong
