Stereophonics

Thanks to their energetic pop-rock repertoire, Stereophonics have become one of the most prominent bands on the Welsh alternative rock scene. The band was formed in Cwmaman in 1992 as a trio, with Kelly Jones on guitar and vocals, Richard Jones on bass and Suart Cable on drums and percussion. Their debut album, Words Get Around, was an instant success, reaching number six in the UK charts in 1997. Highlights included "Local Boy in the Photograph" (#51) and "Traffic" (#20).
