Stef Ekkel, born You Ekkel on August 9, 1980, in Kampen, Netherlands, is a Dutch folk singer. Ekkel began his career with the self-released single "Op 'n terrasje" in 2001, which entered the Dutch top 20 charts and stayed there for eight weeks. His follow-up single "De Griekse melodie" in 2002 further solidified his early success. After a hiatus, Ekkel returned with the single "De woonboot" in 2006 and has since released several albums, including Een koffer vol dromen (2006), Samen uit, samen thuis (2007), and Lekker gezellig (2009).
